The goal of TIDE (Towards Inclusion and Diversity in EAPS) is to make a space for everyone who is engaged with, and working on, DEI initiatives to get in touch, coordinate efforts, and recruit volunteers. TIDE envisions a more diverse EAPS community where everyone feels welcome, supported, and valued. Check out our projects or contact us at tide.eaps@gmail.com to learn more about what we do.
What we’re reading:
- We are currently leading a seminar on Racism, Colonialism, and Extraction in the Geosciences. Our reading list can be found here.
- We have also started a library, using the funds we received with our 2021 EAPS Community Builder Award. Our current selection, housed in Charney Library, is listed here.
- In 2021, a group of our members published an open-access article in AGU Advances titled “Trends in the representation of women among US geoscience faculty from 1999 to 2020: the long road toward gender parity” (Ranganathan et al., 2021).
